Content Writing
Your web content says a lot about who you are and what you're offering. That's why you want to get it right. As well as being marketing-led, you'll also want to include the SEO element, to make sure your web pages get indexed by the major search engines.
I've written text content for hundreds of websites over the years, and have synthesized my offering to focus on 3 key elements:
1) Website content for conversion - ensuring your visitors are led along the right user journey to perform an action you wish them to, such as filling in a contact form or placing an order.
2) Article content - regular updates of unique, quality articles on your site will be beneficial not only for your visitors, but for convincing the search engines your site should be ranked highly. This is especially important now that Google and Bing are using Social media references in their search results. (ie if you have great content that someone else mentions on Twitter or Facebook, your site gets a boost in the rankings - see this article on social media signals for search engine rankings for more details).
3) Blog posts - as with regular article updates, creating unique blog posts of 100+ words on an ongoing basis is great for creating a buzz with the search engines - again, particularly with the social media element of the ranking formula in Google and Bing.
